Transformational Success Story!
Welcome to our Transformational Success Story where I personally interview one of our very successful clients, Peter. Peter helps small and large businesses implement energy efficiency initiatives and procure renewable energy products. He likes going to the gym, traveling and spending time with family and friends.
How was life prior to your transformation?
Life before my transformation was a little bit all over the place. What I mean is that I didn’t really have any clear direction. I was struggling to get any real momentum in what I was doing, I felt like I was stuck.
For some reason or another, I also had a high expectation of myself which placed a lot of unnecessary pressure on me.
My work environment was very destructive. I was being bullied at work and the company culture was negative. This behaviour continued for some time, which ultimately led to me doubting myself.
You have made significant changes in your life Peter, can you tell us about your transformation.
Since the work I did with Qt, I have made a concerted effort to work on my thoughts and how this impacts my actions and results. This has allowed me to feel more in control and at ease.
I now have goals across most aspects of my life and am working to achieve these. The pressure I was putting on myself has considerably reduced and I am maintaining a healthy expectation in everything I do.
What were the biggest challenges you needed to overcome to get to where you are now?
That’s easy, my thinking and the high expectation and pressure I was putting on myself. I had a serious outlook on life and was losing my sense of simply just enjoying life and having fun.
To what extent has working with Qt helped you to stop putting so much pressure on yourself?
Working with Qt has helped me a lot with this. The discussion around thought processes and identifying and addressing my self-limiting beliefs were really good. I realised that I didn’t trust myself and had a strong fear of failure. I now feel more relaxed in myself and my abilities.
How has transforming your thinking impacted on your success?
I now feel a lot more energised and positive about things in general. I am challenging myself by doing the things that I would previously put off or fear doing. I know these are little steps but it feels great, particularly now that I am actively pursuing my calling in life.
What tips would you give to others who are thinking about improving their life in similar ways?
It’s good to take a look under the hood occasionally and get a check up. Sometimes you don’t realise the impact your thinking or beliefs can have on you and your success and enjoyment in life.
How would you sum up your transformation?
For me personally it has been a great outcome. Apart from learning a little about NLP, I more importantly have learnt a lot about myself.
